1. Information we collect
- Account information, such as your name, email address and login identifiers.
- Content you choose to store, including projects, tasks, documents, boards, comments and attachments.
- Support messages and feedback you send.
- Usage, device, browser, diagnostic, security and IP-address information.
- Cookie or local-storage data required to maintain sessions, preferences and security.
2. Why we use it
We process account and project data to perform our contract by providing, synchronising and supporting Meldstead. We process security, diagnostics and product-usage data for our legitimate interests in preventing fraud, protecting accounts and improving reliability. We rely on consent where law requires it, and process information when needed to meet legal obligations.
3. Sharing
We share only what is necessary with hosting, authentication, storage, AI, analytics and support service providers; professional legal or accounting advisers; and authorities where law requires it. Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and receives information needed for product sales, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
4. Retention
We retain account and workspace data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to provide recovery, resolve disputes and meet legal duties. We then delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed.
5. International transfers
Service providers may process information outside your country. Where UK or EEA law applies, we use recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to your supervisory authority. UK and EEA requests are ordinarily answered within one month.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational controls, including encrypted transport, access controls and account-scoped data rules. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
8. Cookies and local storage
Meldstead uses essential browser storage for sign-in, security, interface preferences and core operation. We do not currently use marketing cookies. If analytics or marketing cookies are introduced, we will provide the controls required by applicable law.
